Through this activity, you will discover how American cuisine is a product of both our regional uniqueness and international diversity. Key Ingredients: America by Food will be traveling to 150 rural communities across the US through 2008. Through a Selection of artifacts, photographs, and illustrations, Key Ingredients examines the evolution of the American kitchen and how food industries have responded to the technological innovations that have enabled Americans to choose an ever-wider variety of frozen, prepared, and fresh foods. Sunday, December 7 1:00 – 4:00 Open Hearth Holiday Brunch at Pomona Hall The Camden County Historical Society adds some magic to the Christmas season with an elegant open hearth holiday brunch in 18th-century Pomona Hall on Sunday, December 7, from 1-4 PM. Relaxing, intimate, exclusive … the perfect start to your holidays or a truly unique gift idea for someone special.
You'll watch noted hearth cook Mercy Ingraham prepare a meal based on authentic colonial recipes over Pomona Hall's vast open hearth, then dine by candlelight in a gracious dining room dating to 1788. Before and after brunch, relax with a glass of wine as you tour Pomona Hall, its stately elegance enhanced by the beauty of traditional holiday decorations. Also included is a tour of the Society's two-story museum.
$50 for CCHS members, $60 for nonmembers.
